–Began riveting rudder skeleton
Note: I managed to deform the bottom doubler rivets manufactured heads because of poor technique. I am gonna leave them alone for now, but will be asking a Tech Counsler about them.
–Cleaned all the parts with acetone
–Etched in 3:1 Alumiprep solution
–Primed with rattle can self etch primer
All the parts turned out great.
Reinspired by the Oshkosh trip, I washed the rudder skeleton parts tonight with soap and water. Tomorrow I plan to prime them.

Just returned from Oshkosh 07. My buddy from Valley Fliers Greg and I flew the Cherokee 180 there and back. Gerry and Dave flew in Gerry’s Mooney. Basically they were spotter the whole trip since they always ended up 30 to 60 minutes ahead of us.
I set a bunch of personal flying firsts:
–First Oshkosh
–First flight over the Cascades
–First flight over the Rockies
–Pretty much every leg beat my former longest XC flights
I am definately reinspired to work on the -7 after about a month off the project.
